Description:
The syllabus for this course was announced by the Authority for Advanced Vocational Awards (now New Zealand Qualifications Authority) in 1985. The starting level is stage 1 physics at university level. The course is written in 10 assignments - 1 on velocity and acceleration, 1 on mass and force, 2 on circular motion, 0.5 on fluid dynamics, 1 on gases, 1.5 on heat, 1 on wave motion, 1 on interference of waves, 0.5 on light, and 0.5 on electricity.

Assessment is by assignments.

Prerequisite(s): 2019 Physics or equivalent.

New Zealand Certificate in Science (Physics).
